Duties and Responsibilities: Physicians examine their patients, obtain medical histories; order, perform, and interpret diagnostics. They also counsel patients about illness, injuries, health conditions and preventive healthcare.

Salary: $150,000-$300,000

Education: They need to spend at least 10 to 15 years in collage. They have to complete a number of course requirements in order to get an M.D. degree.

I would not like to be one because I can’t keep still and my hands will eventually start to shake out of nervousness.

Education: An Allergist education usually takes up to nine years of training for something beyond a bachelor’s degree. After completing medical school which takes about 4 years, they must graduate with a medical degree.

Reflection: being an allergist seems nice because you can help people that have allergies but I don’t want to be one because I’m not so good with medical things.

No I would not like to be one because I don’t like needles and the idea they use lasers on which could give you cancer. I would stick to something less creepy.

Acupressure is used to help people with their nausea, headaches, or vomiting. What they use to put pressure on you is their elbow, hand or various devices. Acupressure is used for reproductive system and to greater a person’s health.

Education:

The education needed for acupressure is Chinese medicine, anatomy, physiology, and clinical practice. the total hours they need to study is 150 to 250 in total.

 

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why or why not?

Personally no because I don’t like touching other people I don’t know. And I don’t want to possibly make someone pass out because my finger slipped. Other than that it’s a pretty good job.

They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary they preform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others perform research.

Educational Requirements:

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be an ophthalmologist? Why or Why not?

No I wouldn’t like to be an ophthalmologist because I can’t see clearly and I don’t want to make a mistake. Even though they give classes for it I still would not like to be one. Art and criminology is what I would be best at.

·        Conducting psychotherapy sessions.

·        Prescribing potent mental illness drugs.

·        Supervising electrotherapy treatments.

·        Leading a team of mental health care providers.

In addition to completing the requirements for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine, psychiatrists must complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.

No, personally I would not but, what they do is really helpful to the people with mental illnesses. Psychiatrist can prescribe patients with what the need and talk to them about problems they have. Psychiatry is something I will think about but I have something else in mind.
